Nature-based resilience Coaching
Hi, I’m Shannon. I am a Nurse Coach and Forest Therapy Guide. I work with parents, caring professionals, and other people who are exhausted and trapped by their own patterns of giving too much. I partner with the natural world to look at the stories people have been telling themselves and examine the possibilities of telling a different story. I use nature connection, deep attunement, guided conversation, and executive function coaching. My clients get unstuck, step through the threshold into knowing what they want and remembering who they always were.
My Coaching approach:
There’s a time when caring people find they can’t keep going the way they always have.
It might look like depletion, burnout, mood changes, or a general sense that this isn’t what you signed up for. For women, it often hits in midlife, right as perimenopause is shifting your hormonal makeup and the ground under your feet starts to feel untrustworthy. It can feel awful; like failure, profound fatigue, loss of surety. The thing is, when you reach that place, it’s terrifying, painful, and so hard to see a way forward.
That’s how it was for me. I’d spent years as a hospice nurse, sitting with dying people and their families, while also parenting a child with unique needs. I reached a place that felt untenable. I was responsible for too much, carried too many people’s needs and emotions, and I knew I didn’t have what it would take to meet them all. I was in so much pain. The last time I had been in that much pain was when I’d given birth, 12 years prior. I remember thinking, ‘What if this is a process like labor? What if ‘this’ pain could be like ‘that’ pain, and produce something breathtaking?’ It took time, and a lot of tears, but something was being born.
Now, as a coach, I’m still working with that birth metaphor. Like a midwife, I sit with you and bear witness to the hard work you’re doing. I can remind you to trust the process when you lose faith in the change you’re making. I pay attention, stay attuned, cry with you, and personalize my approach to meet your needs. I'll cheerlead, encourage, give perspective, and celebrate with you as you do the work of becoming; because midlife isn’t a decline, it’s an awakening.
Coaching Offerings
Branch
12 weeks · Let the growth flourish
Twelve weeks is long enough for something real to happen.
Branch is for the woman who is ready to go deeper; past the overwhelm, past the patterns of giving until there's nothing left, into the part of herself that already knows what she needs. She's just never had the space, or the permission, to hear it clearly.
Over three months of guided conversation and time spent with the living world, we'll do the kind of work that lasts, the kind that helps you notice the tame story you've been telling yourself, and start telling a truer one. You'll learn to enlarge your own circle of care just enough to let yourself inside it. To say no without guilt. To find the place where your roots already go down deep.
By the end, you’ll be ready to start writing a different, truer story than the one you’ve been given.
Includes:
9 virtual coaching sessions
3 remotely guided nature immersions
Investment: $1,200
6 weeks · Find your footing
You know something has to change. You can feel it. But the path forward in front of you is hard to see, and the weight of everything you're carrying makes it hard to think clearly, let alone move.
Root is six weeks of guided conversation and nature connection. It’s a space to set some of that weight down, catch your breath, and begin to see what's actually possible for you. We'll meet virtually, and once, we'll take that conversation outside, each of us in our own landscape, letting the living world be part of the work.
By the end you'll have more breathing room than you started with, a clearer sense of your own strength, and the experience of having had a real ally on the road.
Includes:
5 virtual coaching sessions
1 remotely guided nature immersion
Investment: $700
Root
Ongoing · For those who keep growing
Some women aren't looking for a program with an end date. They're looking for a steady ally. Someone in their corner as life keeps changing, who already knows their story and doesn't need it explained twice.
Canopy is ongoing support for the woman who has done the deeper work and wants to stay rooted in it. The shape of it is yours to define — a session here and there as things shift, a standing monthly rhythm, a place to return to when you need to be reminded of your own strength.
This isn't a fixed package. It's a relationship that continues for as long as it's useful to you.
Let's talk about what this could look like for you.
